Luwi Mwangu is a PhD student in Public Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Her research focuses on the intersection of environmental exposures, health systems, and population health. She is currently working under the Adaptations to Strengthen Healthcare Delivery and Resilience to Extreme Weather Events in Southern Africa (ASTRA) programme.
Her doctoral work uses longitudinal data to examine how climate-related risks affect health outcomes in vulnerable populations. Luwi has a strong background in epidemiology and implementation science, with experience in data analysis, research design, and scientific writing, and is committed to advancing policy-relevant health systems research.
